Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Coral Reef

Hello there! Today I have a quick post about Sally Hansen's Xtreme Wear nail color in "Coral Reef". This is such a pretty color, but it isn't very coral to me. When I think coral, I think of more of an orangey pink. This is more of a warm hot pink. However, it is super pretty! It applied very smoothly. I have done two coats and no top coat!

Target Beauty Bag Contents

Hello there! I don't know if you know this or not, but Target gives away a free cosmetic bag full of samples every few months. All you have to do is go to the website and fill out your shipping information. There are limited bags and they go quick! I have been lucky enough to get the last 3 beauty bags they have sent out. I'm going to show you the contents of the latest beauty bag!

The bag itself is made of a nice canvas material. My previous beauty bags (pictured at the bottom) were made of a silky polyester material. The bags are probably my favorite part! Great for travel and fit nicely in a handbag. I love to save the samples for when I travel.

Sally Hansen "Golden-I" Nail Polish

Hello there! This is going to be a quick post showing you Sally Hansen's Xtreme Wear "Golden-I" nail polish. It is a pretty basic metallic gold. I did two coats, and it applied very smoothly. If you want to see another gold nail polish, Orly's Rage is a beautiful rose gold nail polish that I have posted about right here.

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in "Golden-I"
Around $2.99 at most drugstores

Some people might see this and "Rage" and think they are the same thing, but they clearly aren't! Big difference, but I think it is worth it to have both of them. Hope you enjoyed this post!

Have a lovely day!

Rose Gold Satisfaction with Orly "Rage"

Hello there! Growing up, I hated gold and always wanted silver jewelry. As I've gotten older, I have acquired a taste for gold jewelry. But now, I crave anything that is rose gold. I google searched for rose gold nail polish and came across Orly's "Rage" nail polish. I went to Sally's today and picked up a bottle. Man, is she beautiful. But first, a funny story that happened at Sally's....

I was checking out when the cashier asked, "Is this the same polish you have on your nails now?" ( I was wearing Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Golden-I....which is a pure gold polish, and I have swatches of that here) I felt embarrassed because I thought that she thought I either put it on in the store or something. I was going to say "No, this is a gold-gold. That polish there is a rose gold" but I didn't feel like making a scene lol

Anyways, I digress. Here are the swatches of Orly's "Rage":

Orly "Rage"
$5.99 at Sally's Beauty Supply stores

I used 2 coats of "Rage" and it applied very smoothly! This is such a pretty color that should suit all skin tones. I literally just put this on a few hours ago so I can't speak much about chip/wear time, but lets hope it wears well! This shade is so shimmery, foily, and metallic. Rose gold in liquid form!!

In my opinion, this is a must have nail polish shade. If you are asking yourself if you really need this polish if you already own a gold nail polish, like Sally Hansen "Golden-I" or Revlon "Gold Coin", my answer would be yes. Those golds are more like true metal golds. This "Rage" has such a beautiful hue to it that just doesn't
compare to a plain gold nail polish. This is my first Orly polish, and I'm hoping to pick up more in the future.
Hope you enjoyed this post!!

Please have a lovely day!

Pretty Peacock Eyeliner Two Ways: A Tutorial

Hello there! I have been addicted to Pinterest lately, and I came across a beautiful picture, which I'll share at the end of this post. I wanted to recreate the look for my brown eyes. After doing it similar to the picture, I decided to put the color on my upper lash line instead. So here are my two different peacock eyeliner looks! I'll have a list of products used below the pictures!! Make sure you click on the pictures to get a better look at them!

Lower Lash Line Peacock Liner:
This is a subtly dramatic look that is good for a night out.
-Maybelline Color Tattoo in Too Cool as overall base.
-Mac Painterly Paint Pot as base for lower lash line.
-Sweep shimmery bronze shade all over lid and crease area.
-Take purple, blue, and green liner to line bottom lash line. This will be a base for the eyeshadow. I used a Turquoise and Amethyst liner.
- Pat coordinating eyeshadow on top of the liner. Start with the purple, then work your way from blue to green. This makes blending much easier.
-Apply shimmery champagne shade to inner corner & brow.
-Line upper lash line, I used a liquid liner & line lower water line, I used a pencil.
-Also, I think it would look better if you tight lined your upper water line. I didn't do this, but I think it would have looked better.
-Curl lashes & apply mascara!

Upper Lash Line Peacock Liner:
This is a more wearable colorful look.
-Apply base all over lid, I used Maybelline Color Tattoo in Too Cool.
-Again, use the colored pencil liners as a base for the eyeshadows, this time on the upper lash line.
-Dampen a thin liner brush in water and squeeze excess water from the brush.
-Start with purple eyeshadow, then blue and green. Make sure to pat it on, don't sweep it. Gently blend.
-Sweep a bronze shade all over lid and crease, avoiding the liner.
-Apply shimmery champagne shade to inner corner & brow.
-Line as close to your lashes as you can with a black gel liner.
-Line lower water line with black pencil & lower lash line with a bronze pencil.
-Again, I think it would have looked better if it tight lined my upper water line.
-Curl lashes & apply mascara!
